Oh my lanta! The unthinkable has finally happened. I walked into the Union Square Barnes & Noble yesterday and there it was. 'China Dolls' was staring straight at me, giving me that 'I've arrived" look. I couldn't help but feel weak at the knees when I saw it sitting on the table of the 'New Fiction' section at the front of the store. I slowly picked it up and cradled it for a few seconds as if it were a newborn being held by an emotional new mother. I was beyond excited. As I touched the spine of the book, I thought 'You wonderful thing. You were once a very long microsoft word document but now here you are. My beloved is born for all to see'. After I realized how demented I probably looked staring at the book, I coolly put it down and quickly glanced to see if anyone caught on to my delirium. Luckily, the closest person to me (the security guard) was looking the opposite direction. Phew!

In all seriousness, Blossom and I are extremely excited this month. We have waited a couple of years for this moment to arrive and it's a wonderful feeling! I'm almost sure every published author has gone through some sort of excitement that we are going through now and knows what it feels like.

Our first book event is actually on Monday and so begins a lovely rest of the month for us. With a book launch party coming up and another signing in New York, we'll be busy bees for the next week here in the city. But after that we'll be touring the country thinking we're like Pearl Jam. So bring out your friends and come for the tour!!!

Check out our "Tour" tab for all the latest signings and events! If you would like to email us about possible additional events in your city, please email us.

With the launch of 'China Dolls' also comes the launch of the 'China Dolls' collection. Working with Ling Skincare, 'China Dolls: The Collection' features a beautiful kit that includes the book, and fabulous Ling products (lip salvation, candle, and soap). It's in stores now and to order, visit www.lingskincare.com.

Thank you all in advance for supporting 'China Dolls'!!

This sounds very cool. I made my way over here from Jana Deleon's blog. I am hugely inspired for my Science Fiction Romance stories by Asian culture, China and Chinese American in particular. My concern has been projecting 200 years into the future how various Earth cultures will evolve and interact with alien cultures. There will undoubtedly be immigration and intermarriage. Some will try to preserve the various birth-cultures as well. By the way, 'Kimber An' is a pen name. I'm caucasion. I chose 'An' simply because I thought it was elegant. I learned later that it was Chinese.
