In The Pitt

A few days spent in Pittsburgh highlighted the weekend. Hoping that the New York Mets would clinch their first National League East Division title since 1988 at PNC Ballpark, I got on a plane with a herd of New York Mets fans to cover the possible historic moment. Alas, the boys of Queens got swept by the Pirates, I didn't get to witness the champagne party and instead, was left in the dust in Steel City chomping on a porterhouse at Morton's steakhouse the night before I was scheduled to return to New York. I know that doesn't sound too shabby but I would have liked to be part of the bubbled festivities and witness history being made. I finally got to witness history a day later as the Mets clinched at home at Shea -when I wasn't there. As Stephanie Tanner of "Full House" use to say "How rude!".

I guess life sometimes just isn't fair. The best thing you can do is to make the best of it.

For me, making the best of life is watching sports, traveling, eating and of course, writing. Blossom and I have a feeling that we will be jotting things down alot in the near future. Hopefully, we will be sharing more details soon about what we are going to be writing about!

I finally finished "Something Borrowed" by Emily Giffin. The last time I posted, I said I started reading it. I ended up rooting for the character of Rachel but am anxious to read "Something Blue" now. How could anyone root for DARCY in the next book? Well, from what I hear, they can, so I am dying to see how the fabulous Emily Giffin pulls this one off. I am also in the process of reading of "Looking for Mr. Goodbunny" by Kathleen O'Reilly. I read the first few pages and I can tell it's witty and clever already.

Anyhow, hopefully, Blossom and I will have some solidified good news to share with you the next time we post!

Have a good one!
